Background for Bad Art for Bad People

A vision of Tampa photographer Bob White, a concept bringing artists from the Tampa bay area together to exhibit their talents in a new and unconventional format. The idea is to produce an alternative to the standard gallery showcases, making art more accessible on a wider scale. Art, music and audience participation are blended, to break down preconceived notions of how art is experienced.  A varied group at each event, pooling individual experiences and talents from many walks of life, once combined is something out of the ordinary. At any given occasion, one may encounter anything from belly dancers to kung fu masters, death metal bands to country western, visual arts to pet rocks.  This experience is ever changing, whether it is fusing obscure film genres or music performances along side artists that result in a sensory overload inspiring those who may have otherwise not found creative outlets in the mainstream.

Bad Art for Bad People’s goal is to inspire people to broaden their appreciation of the visual arts by beginning or expanding their art collections. Through providing reasonably priced art, cutting gallery costs and attracting talented and original artists.
